Concert at Bradford House

The Aviara Piano Trio will perform at the Bradford House in Placentia at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4.  The concert is the third in the 27th annual season at the 1902 Victorian mansion at 136 Palm Circle.  All concerts are free to the public.   Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and seating is on a first-come basis.

The trio, composed of violinist Robert Schumitzky, cellist Erin Breene and pianist Ines Irawati, will play Felix Mendelssohn’s Trio No. 2 in C minor, Opus 66, and Gabriel Faure’s Trio, Opus 120.

Schumitzky, a Newport Beach resident, is a member of the first violin section of Pacific Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and is Concertmaster of the Long Beach Opera Orchestra. He is a graduate of the Julliard School and Saint Louis Conservatory of Music.  He performs on a Stradivarius violin made in 1694.
 

Cellist Breene is Principal Cellist with the Segerstrom Center Broadway Dance series and is a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.  She plays regularly with Pacific Symphony along with several chamber ensembles and music festivals throughout the U.S. She holds degrees from Rice University and the Julliard School.
 

A native of Jakarta, Indonesia, Irawati is both a solo and collaborative pianist. She has performed her own piano compositions throughout Southeast Asia and, at age 15, she was invited to perform her first concerto with the Tokyo Symphony. She holds a Master of Music degree from Yale University. She is the vocal coach for San Diego Opera’s Young Artist program.
 

            The Bradford House Chamber Concerts are sponsored by the Placentia Founders Society, which preserves and maintains the Bradford House.
